Mr. Martin Vaillancourt
Coach V amassed his experience in Quebec where he gained much success before establishing himself here in Ontario. He won 4 provincial championships with his secondary school and one Canadian championship with his Quebec junior team. He was grandly implicated with the excellence program by the federation of basketball in Quebec as a player and later as a coach. Before all of this, he played with the Rouge et Or of Laval University for four seasons. Before his stop in Southern Ontario, he spent some time in Baltimore, Maryland.
Since his arrival with the ACMT Jags, Coach Vaillancourt has been working non-stop on the program. His first season was difficult with only 6 wins and 19 losses, but since then, the team has been seeing a lot more success with their 24-19 results and a first place at Franco in 2004 and 35-15 two years ago and 37-12 last year. They also brought back the GHAC trophy for the last five seasons, participated in the HWAAC, and won the bronze at Franco and OFSAA in ‘05 and OFSAA GOLD in 07 and 08 as well as back to back titles in Franco the same years. These results are all the more spectacular since ACMT has a student population of 250 and the other schools in the league possess an average of 2000 students! The team was also invited twice to the Silver Fox, the top tourney in Canada, the first small school ever invited! ACMT has now one of the best small school programs in the province. Coach was nominated as High School coach of the year in Ontario in 2008 by phase one / basketball Canada. He is equally the co-founder of the U_PLAY AAU program and he once brought home the Ontario basketball association crown with his ABC MAGIC juvenile team. Coach V is implicated with the Ontario basketball federation and has been training the elite Hamilton Mountain team from 2001 to 2007. He coaches in numerous camps across Canada and the USA such as Maryland Elite and St-Bonaventure University.
Martin lives in Niagara with his loving wife Isabelle and they have a son named Thomas and a daughter named Elea..

He is in charge of all pre-season training as well as the complete physical aspect of the players. He is also implicated in the academic side of the athletes. Bobby Croft
It was 35 years ago that Boston Celtics legendary coach and GM Red Auerbach stated that Canadian Bobby Croft "was the top pro prospect in the country (USA)." Big words for a big fella who ended up being drafted by two professional leagues...the NBA and American Basketball Association (A.B.A.) Croft played only one campaign in the ABA but gets the nod to this list due to the fact that the red, white and blue basketball league was on par with the NBA in talent.
Drafted by: Boston Celtics, 1970 NBA, 123rd pick Texas Chaparrals, 1970 ABA, 2nd round
Coach Croft is also a former college player for the University of Tennesse. He was also a member of the Canadian national team. Former Hamilton Highschool player, coach Croft is also working clinics in the city for the basketball developpement of young kids.
He’s working with the forwards at ACMT.
