The first edition of senior basketball in the history of ACMT was led by the rapid movements of Landry Kazungu and the solid force of Derek McDonald. These Jags paved the way for the following teams, year after year, in the challenging Hamilton Catholic league. We are very proud of these youthful pioneers who gave a lot to our glorious school.

They are the founders of the program.

Old Timers

In the program’s second year of existence, our team brought back the Gold Medal at the Franco tournament that was held in Welland.

Thereafter, the team won the finals of the Golden horseshoe’s athletic association and made their way to OFSAA which was hosted in Windsor.

Trésor Kalambay emerged as one of the best players of the city and attracted much attention from recruiters. He was part of the selection for team Ontario and won a national championship during the summer.

In its third season, our program walked away with the bronze medal at Franco and an additional bronze medal at the OFSAA championship.

The team came one victory away from participating in the league playoffs for the first time!

Trésor Kalambay confirmed his title as an elite player and participated in many all-star-teams, and made his way to the provincial stage by being recognized as an elite player of the province.

After a visit to Santa Clara U and many other Canadian universities, he finally accepted a scholarship for the university of St-Vincent, Pennsylvania.

Domingo Lamarre and Hoskins Kangu stood out from the others. Hoskins got himself to Montmorency in Montreal for a season to prepare himself before college.

The 2005-2006, is the first time we officially clinched a spot in the  HWCAA playoffs loosing to St-Thomas More in the semi.

This is a young team with 8 grade 11’s and two grade 10’s.

After a convincing win against Kings Christian college to win GHAC, our team will loose in the second round of OFSAA.

We won bronze at Franco in Ottawa against Thériault.

Joseph Kalonji signs with Oakland community college in Michigan.
